collectivity begins with HOME, 2023

"Early ideas about 'collectivity' take its roots while growing up in an Indian joint family. Sharing food, spaces and lives shape up different notions of collectivity. The one minute video ''Collectivity begins from HOME'' shows a festive happening of bringing the Ganesha deity home in the family Chavan. The digitally raw video shot primarily in the default vertical format suggests its circulatory function. Many such clips are shared instantly on larger family Whatsapp groups which connect distant relatives with the event virtually. The Triptych format binds this collective happening together."

'Collectivity begins from HOME' was published in 'Collective Studies' curated by Gudskul in 2023 and was part of series ‘Passing the Love أضيئوا بالحب قلوبك’ curated by Fehras Publishing Practices.
